On what was supposed to be a simple family lunch, our lives changed in an instant. While we were at a local restaurant, a car crashed into the building. My mom, Diana, and my toddler were sitting closest to the impact. Diana was injured, suffering a leg injury that will keep her from working for at least several weeks. The shock and stress of the accident have been overwhelming, but we are grateful everyone is safe.

Diana is currently the English preschool teacher at Las Abejitas. She has always been the heart of our family and a source of strength for so many others. She is a dedicated teacher and a former foster parent who opened her home to children in need, adopting four and later stepping away from her career to care for her aging parents. Her kindness and generosity have touched countless lives, and now she needs our help.
