Help Diamond Get the Second Chance He Deserves

Diamond is only 2 years old, but in his short life he has endured more pain and hardship than most dogs ever should. And yet, through it all, he remains the sweetest, most resilient little boy—gentle, loving, and eager to cuddle anyone he meets.

Diamond’s story is heartbreaking.

He was attacked by his dog parents and later became lost in the woods for nearly two months alongside his younger brother. Tragically, his brother did not make it home. During that time, Diamond was shot in the head by an Aliquippa Police Officer. Somehow, despite unimaginable trauma, he found the strength to survive and eventually made his way back home—only to be surrendered by his owners.

When Diamond finally reached safety, he desperately needed medical attention. He was covered in wounds and ticks, suffering from untreated injuries. He required vaccinations, neutering, and extensive oral surgery due to abscesses in his mouth from bullet fragments. During that surgery, veterinarians remove some bullet fragments that were in his jaw and nasal cavity.

Every procedure so far has been paid out of pocket by those committed to saving him.

Just when it seemed like he was finally on the road to healing, Diamond faced another life-threatening challenge due to his mouth trauma. He recently underwent an emergency procedure due to a blocked salivary gland that began affecting his airway. He now needs immediate corrective surgery to fully resolve this issue—an operation estimated to cost upwards of $10,000.

Even after this surgery, there is still a possibility that Diamond will need another procedure to close the remaining hole in the roof of his mouth from the initial trauma and reconstruction.

Despite everything he has endured—abandonment, injury, fear, and loss—Diamond continues to love unconditionally. He still cuddles close. He still trusts. He still wags his tail.

He deserves a life filled with safety, comfort, and happiness. He deserves a warm bed, gentle hands, and a future free from pain.
