Diamond is not just my coworker—she’s my work daughter, and I’ve watched her pour her heart into raising her two beautiful girls. Last night, her world changed forever when her 10-month-old daughter, who bravely battled sickle cell disease, passed away. Diamond has always been a devoted mother, doing everything she could to give her daughters love and security, even when times were tough. She’s the kind of person who never asks for help, always putting others first and believing that everyone has their own burdens to carry.
