Hello everyone,

On behalf of my good friend Cindy Alvear, I am reaching out during this difficult time for her son Diago.

At just 13 years old, Diago Alvear is a strong, kind, and determined young man from Laredo, Texas who proudly plays football , is in the George Washington Middle School band, and makes the best red velvet brownies ! He is full of life and dreams.

In December 2025 Diago was diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma, a rare and very aggressive form of bone cancer. This diagnosis has completely changed his and his family’s life overnight.

Diago now faces a journey of treatments, doctor visits, hospital stays, and specialized care. While insurance helps, there are many expenses it does not cover — including travel to treatment centers, medical equipment, medications, and time away from work for his mom to be by his side.

We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden so Diago and his family can focus on what truly matters: his healing and recovery.
