Most of us know Dez not only for her amazing work, but for her spunky spirit, her big heart, and the way she shows up for everyone around her. Family and friends mean everything to her, and she has always been the kind of person you can count on no matter what. On Tuesday, December 30th, while doing what she loved, Dez suddenly began experiencing stroke-like symptoms. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed she was having a stroke. Further testing revealed a blood clot in her brain, and she had to undergo emergency surgery to save her life.

Right now, Dez’s focus is on healing and recovery, which means she will be out of work for some time. As much as she has always been there for us—supporting, encouraging, and lifting others up—we are asking that we now come together and be there for her. Life doesn’t stop when the unexpected happens, and neither do the bills.
