Hello hello,

I never expected to be writing this at the age of 23... I was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor that is attached to my carotid artery (the vessel that supplies blood to the brain) and is also pressing on my eye. I have lost vision in my right eye, and it is unlikely to come back. Given the location of the tumor, they will not be able to fully resect it, and I will have to undergo radiation. Due to my rapid vision loss, I have to get surgery very soon. The doctors are 90% sure that the tumor is benign, but we will not know until surgery.

This has caused extreme stress financially, given how unexpected everything has moved in the last couple of weeks. I have been financially independent since I was 18.. supporting myself by working at Amazon, house cleanings, care taking, and so many other side gigs in order to pay my college tuition, car note, rent, bills, and so on.

I will be unable to drive or work for a few months, and I am asking my wonderful community for your support, help, and healing as I navigate this difficult time. All the love, D
