My sweet boy Dexter has been fighting pancreatitis and a mysterious unitary tract issue for a few weeks now. After a lot of at home supportive care, it’s become more clear that he needs to be hospitalized to help him get over this hump and have a chance at recovery. Unfortunately the month of back and forth between vets, diagnostic tests, and various home therapies has quickly stacked a lot of expensive vet bills, and I’m being faced with some very difficult decisions about the extent of care I can provide for him.

Dexter has so much life in him still, and so I’m asking for help from the many people who have also been touched by this anxious boys love to help keep him with us. There’s actually nothing I want more for my birthday this month than for Dexter to be trotting alongside me.

Any help you can spare will go to the bills I have already amassed, as well as the hospitalization I fear is necessary to keep him alive.
