As many of you may or may not know, on April 10th my life changed in an instant. I was severely injured in a workplace accident and was med flighted to Rhode Island Hospital. It’s now been a little over two weeks, and I’m currently in rehab.
I sustained a broken back. Right now, I have no feeling in my right leg, and I can only feel my left leg from the kneecap up. I know that’s a lot of information, but I’m trying to be completely transparent about what it is that we’re facing.
I’m still trying to process everything and stay positive as I face a long road ahead, holding onto hope that one day I’ll walk again.
So many people have reached out to me and my family asking how they can help, and I truly can’t thank you enough. The calls, texts, visits, and support have meant more than I can put into words.
I have a family, and while I focus on healing and adjusting to this new reality, they’re left trying to carry on. I’ve always been the provider, and right now, that’s one of the hardest parts of this for me.
If you’re able to help in any way, it would mean everything, not just to me, but to my family. Anything helps as we try to navigate the financial burden and uncertainty that comes with this situation.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for standing by me. Your support is what’s helping me stay strong through this.
