Support Devon’s Fight for Health, Safety, and Stability
Devon is a 27-year-old living in Kentucky who is navigating severe, disabling chronic illness alongside significant medical trauma and instability. Over the past several years, her health has progressively declined due to complex chronic conditions including endometriosis, Intersitial cystitis, PMDD, chronic pain, extreme fatigue, surgical menopause and symptoms consistent with dysautonomia and related disorders. Despite multiple surgeries and ongoing medical care, her daily functioning has become increasingly limited.
Devon experiences debilitating fatigue that does not improve with rest, severe pain, brain fog, sleep disturbance, digestive issues, heat intolerance, dizziness, heart palpitations, and difficulty standing or completing basic daily tasks. Simple activities like showering, cooking, walking short distances, or concentrating on school or work can exhaust her for days. On her worst days, even eating or speaking feels overwhelming.
For years, Devon pushed herself to keep working and supporting herself, including working as a CNA, while pursuing a bachelor degree. However, her health has deteriorated to the point where she has been unable to maintain employment. She is currently without income, has exhausted most of her savings, and is struggling to afford basic necessities such as food, housing, medications, and medical supplies.
In addition to her medical challenges, Devon’s living situation has become unsafe and unstable, significantly worsening her physical and mental health. She does not have reliable family support for housing, caregiving, or financial assistance, and is urgently trying to secure a safe and stable place to live while continuing necessary medical care. This combination of chronic illness, housing insecurity, and isolation has taken a profound toll on her well-being.
We are raising funds to help cover Devon’s essential living and medical needs for the next several months while she continues treatment and navigates the long and difficult process of applying for disability and other assistance. Like many people with complex chronic illnesses, Devon has faced repeated dismissal and delays in care, making recovery and stability even harder to achieve. While there is no quick cure, consistent medical support and a safe environment are critical to preventing further decline and restoring some quality of life.
Funds will help with:
• Urgent living expenses such as groceries, supplements, medications, and necessary health supplies
• Medical care, specialist visits, treatments, and recovery support related to chronic illness and prior surgeries
• Safe, stable housing and basic caregiving or support services during periods of severe limitation
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. All funds will be used strictly for essential living and health-related expenses to help Devon survive this period and work toward long-term stability.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is incredibly helpful. Thank you for taking the time to read, support, and stand with Devon during an incredibly difficult chapter of her life. Your kindness truly matters more than words can express. ❤️
