On October 18, 2025, I received a call that no mother wants to get. Devon was involved in a serious car accident that has resulted in a fractured c5 vertebrae with a spinal cord injury.

Devon is a kind, funny and strong man with so much life in him. He has a big heart and loves being busy working, driving his truck, or doing anything outside.

As a result of the accident, Devon is paralyzed and it is highly likely he will require a wheelchair, although most of his healing will be done in a rehab facility, miracles happen everyday.

He has undergone emergency surgery to removed a piece of the fractured vertebrae with plates, rods and screws, He is now beginning the long, difficult journey towards recovery, whatever that looks like in the future. He will require adaptive equipment and accessible living arrangements.
