Devin is a middle schooler fighting Hodgkins Lymphona. He has a 5 day chemo inpatient stay monthly, on top of commuting to and from Kent to Seattle Children's Hospital 3 days a week for lab work, follow up, and appointments.
Hi, my name is Ilona, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for an incredible kid named Devin—a bright, kind, and funny middle schooler who's currently in the fight of his life.
Not even a month ago, Devin was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Since then, life has changed in ways no child—or family—should ever have to experience.
Every single month, Devin has to endure a 5-day inpatient chemotherapy stay at Seattle Children’s Hospital. As if that weren't enough, he and his family make the commute from Kent to Seattle three times a week for lab work, follow-ups, and appointments. That’s a lot for anyone—but it’s especially hard on a middle schooler who should be worrying about homework and video games, not blood counts and chemo cycles.
Despite everything, Devin faces it all with unbelievable strength. He misses school, he misses his friends, but he never stops fighting. He’s a warrior—but even warriors need backup.
The toll this journey is taking—emotionally, physically, and financially—is immense. His family is juggling full-time caregiving, time off work, and the endless material costs that come with ongoing treatment:
Gas and travel expenses
Hospital parking fees
Meals during long hospital days
Uncovered medical costs
I’ve created this GoFundMe to help relieve some of that pressure, so Devin’s family can focus on what matters most: his healing.
If you can donate—whether it’s $10, $100, or simply sharing this page—it would mean the world to this family. Every little bit helps, and every act of kindness gets Devin one step closer to beating this.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Devin and standing beside him in this fight.
With gratitude,
Ilona
