On what should have been an ordinary day, Devin Vance’s life changed forever. Her precious 15-year-old daughter, Kennedy, was tragically and senselessly taken after being shot by a 14-year-old with a gun. No parent should ever have to endure the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Devin is now navigating overwhelming grief while trying to care for her 4-year-old son, Nash, who is also trying to understand life without his big sister.

In the midst of this heartbreaking tragedy, Devin is facing an enormous financial burden. She must cover funeral and memorial expenses, biohazard cleanup costs for her home, professional grief and trauma counseling, legal expenses related to this tragedy, and will need time away from work to begin processing this devastating loss and care for her family. She is also faced with the difficult reality that returning to her home may not be emotionally possible.
