Hello, my name is Devante. I am currently dealing with the worst time in my life. I honestly would never be the person to ask anyone for help, but I literally have nowhere else to turn, so here is my story.

My mother passed away, and being the oldest son, I felt responsible for paying for her funeral and cremation costs, etc. After dealing with the passing of my mother, I lost my job and have been financially struggling since.

I am now homeless, staying out of my car, and every day that goes by just makes it harder to get back into the swing of life and get a good job. I unfortunately have no family that can help me. I have been alone and on my own since my mother passed. I am also supposed to be starting college again August 31st, 2026, and now I don't know if I can even go to college.

I just want to have a place to shower and money for washing clothes, a phone so I can continue to search for jobs, and food.

I have gone about 3 days without eating by the time of this post.

I really don’t want to beg people on the streets and just wish to be a contributing citizen in society again. If anyone can help me get back on my feet, I would be infinitely grateful. I’m not asking for a lot, but anything helps, even if I can just get enough for a hotel and turn my phone back on, that would be enough. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.
