My name is Zoe, and I am raising funds on behalf of my dearest friend, Dev (@orookcle). Dev is one of the most resilient, selfless people I have had the honor of knowing and befriending. Her outpour of creativity and rallying of community even in spite of the immense adversity she faces is nothing short of awe-inspiring. However, her pain has finally reached a head. It absolutely guts myself and her loved ones to see her continually struck down by travesty, even if she does get back up and continues the fight against her circumstances.

Dev has— and continues to implement— every possible outlet she can to support herself financially, physically and mentally. Working multiple jobs, reselling items, artistic commissions, opening her own storefront to support herself. Yet the costs she has incurred are daunting to handle.

From just this past year alone, Dev has had to assume the costs of her car breaking down and eventually becoming completely unusable, leaving her without a reliable mode of transport. Just today, (27 May 2026), she had to pay for the unfortunate and failed emergency surgery of her beloved dog of over a decade, Scout. Dev is also paying for new medication to manage and improve her health outcomes, but this has totaled hundreds of dollars, between specialists, appointments, diagnoses etc. She also pays for her own classes as a young university student. These are just the major costs alone— and have totaled thousands of dollars.

No one should have to trudge through major financial stressors and immense life events as tragic as this, especially a figurehead as wonderful as Dev. This GoFundMe will contribute to Dev’s finances to alleviate the costs of getting her a new car, settling medical costs, and supporting her education.
