Support Destiny Reed's Family After Fire
Donation protected
Destiny Reed is a single mom raising two kids in rural Colorado. She works for our local youth mentoring program and at the school. Last night the family experienced a structure fire in her home causing quite a bit of damage. Any help is appreciated. Destiny says, “We are all safe, my dad and I are dealing with some smoke inhalation effects but nothing serious. We had a propane tank catch fire somehow and at least four of our 100-pound tanks ignited. Some minor damage to my Expedition, our travel trailer, and cargo trailer. Our garage has some structural damage; both doors are unusable. We're going to work on emptying it out tomorrow to fully assess the damage and start drying stuff out. We were able to salvage some of the wood pile. The house is okay, my dad's camper is okay, and overall we are so blessed it wasn't any worse. Thank you again, so much, for everything, always!”
Destiny runs True North Youth Program's West End activities and has provided tremendous support to the youth of our communities, running our Naturita teen center and creating engaging programming. She has two amazing kids, and they all live with her dad in Nucla. She gives so much to our communities and could really use a little extra support as she deals with this unfortunate event.
