Support for Destiny After the Loss of Her Partner

On June 19th, our lives were shattered when Mikeal, beloved partner of 13 years to my sister Destiny and devoted father to their 7-year-old daughter Ashlynn, was taken from us in a senseless act of gun violence. His sudden and tragic passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who loved him most.

There was no life insurance, no time to prepare, and now Destiny is facing the overwhelming weight of grief while trying to care for their young daughter and rebuild their life from the ground up. The emotional burden is heavy enough—no one should have to carry the financial one alone, too.

This GoFundMe is to help Destiny with immediate expenses, including a celebration of life to honor Mikeal’s memory with the love, dignity, and light he deserves. Any remaining funds will go directly toward helping her and Ashlynn find stability—covering rent, basic needs, and the many unforeseen costs that come with starting over.
