Support Desmond's Heart Transplant Recovery

On 13 November 2024 my cousin, Desmond Giles, arrived at Vanderbilt Medical Center for an

emergency evaluation. Upon further examination, it was determined that Desmond

would have to undergo a heart transplant. This surgery was further complicated due to

various medical conditions that Desmond has lived with since birth. In December 2024,

Desmond successfully underwent a heart transplant. Due to other medical conditions,

his recovery will be extremely long and complicated. Desmond requires extensive

rehabilitation, which his insurance does not cover.

Desmond has an immense joy for music and enjoys sharing his love of music with

everyone he meets.
