Support Desmond's Critical Surgeries

Hello all! My twin sister Danielle and my nephew, Desmond, have been facing an uphill medical battle for nearly 3 years of his life now. My sweet nephew Desmond has endured countless surgeries, and his biggest surgeries are upcoming in the next few weeks. He will be undergoing 2 surgeries in Vanderbilt, one of which is a tracheal sleeve, and a aortopexy. The tracheal sleeve is due to my nephew having an airway obstruction, and the aortopexy (the aorta being the main artery in the human body) will involve attaching the aorta to his sternum. All of these surgeries are due to Desmond's tracheomalacia. Because of this condition, Desmond has frequent issues with breathing and wheezing.

These complete tracheal rings are causing tracheal stenosis, severely hampering his ability to breathe as his airway is less then half the normal size of a kid his age. These surgeries are a MUST to help Desmond continue living.

Due to these large surgeries, my twin and Desmond will be traveling 5 hours away from home and will be staying in the hospital for a month. Danielle will be out of work for a month, and that can be hard on any family. She still has bills, and 2 other children that she needs to care for. I'm hoping we can reach our goal, so that my sister doesn't have to stress over the financials and can simply be a mother to her sick child. Thank you all for taking the time to read.
