Help Young Chef Stroke Victim

Desiree Myers is a talented and passionate pastry chef who had big plans to make her mark on the culinary world. Anyone who knows her has experienced her charming, witty, and earnest personality firsthand. Recently, she has suffered a major health event:

Desiree suffered a major stroke in April 2024, at the age of 35, which impacted her lower-left brain stem and required immediate emergency care and an extended hospital stay.

Doctors are still unsure what specifically caused the stroke so further testing will be needed to determine what lifelong changes will need to happen.

She is currently staying at a Neuro rehab facility, working with physical therapists to try to regain function on her right side. Her ultimate goal is to get back on her feet, continue working, and regain a sense of normalcy despite the challenges.

Once she returns home, she will need additional care, further testing, medical assistance, and accessible home modifications that insurance will not cover. Any help that she can receive during this time will be life-changing.
