If you’ve ever met Desiree, you know she’s the kind of person whose love leaves a lasting mark. She’s a mother, grandmother, wife and friend whose laughter fills every room and whose faith shines through even the hardest days. She’s the one who shows up for everyone — with a helping hand, a comforting word, or a prayer when you need it most.

Every summer, Desiree and her family travel to Red River Gorge, a place that has become a symbol of peace and togetherness. It’s where she reconnects with loved ones, hikes among nature, and finds joy in God’s creation. But in the summer of 2023, while visiting one of her favorite places, Desiree’s life took an unexpected turn — she was bitten by a tick that carried Lyme disease.

Since then, her journey has been filled with countless doctor visits, treatments, and medications — each day a test of faith and endurance. Recently, she discovered a therapy that offers real hope — one that could greatly improve her quality of life. But this treatment requires her to be away from home for 6–8 weeks, bringing emotional and financial challenges that no one should face alone.

Desiree has always been the first to give, to love, and to lift others up. Now, it’s our turn to lift her.
