Trevor and Velma are creating this fundraiser to support their sister-in-law, Desiree Grossman, following the devastating and unexpected loss of her husband, Paul. Paul suffered a devastating self-inflicted injury and, despite the efforts of his medical team, ultimately passed away. His loss has left an unimaginable hole in the lives of the people who loved him most. He leaves behind his wife, Desiree; his mother, Marta; his father, Steve; his stepfather, Doug; his brother, Josh; and his sister-in-law, Krystle—each now grieving an irreplaceable part of their family.

While there is nothing that can lessen the heartbreak they are carrying, we hope to ease some of the financial weight that has come with such a sudden tragedy. In addition to grieving her husband, Desiree is now facing unexpected medical and funeral expenses, along with the loss of the income Paul provided for their household. These are burdens no one should have to navigate while simply trying to make it through the days after losing someone they love. Funds raised will help with medical expenses related to Paul’s final care, funeral and memorial costs, and living expenses as Desiree begins navigating life without her husband. We also hope to ease some of the immediate burdens surrounding his loss so that his family can focus on grieving, being together, and honoring Paul.

Paul was deeply loved—as a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend. His life mattered. His loss is being felt deeply by his family and by so many people who knew and loved him. We want Paul to be remembered for the life he lived, the people he loved, and the lives he touched—not simply for the circumstances of his death. If you are able to donate, any amount will help.
