In Loving Memory of Nathan Archibald

On September 30, our beloved Nathan Archibald tragically passed away at the young age of 38. Nate was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend to so many. He leaves behind his wife Desirae, daughters Inza (13) and Oakley (10), step-sons Jordan (16) and Joel (11), and his baby girl Arya (1).

Nate was a full-time dad and homemaker, the heart of his family’s daily life. He cared for Arya, Joel, and Desirae while she continued to serve on active duty in the United States Air Force. His passing has left an unimaginable void in their lives and an uphill journey ahead.

The Air Force is making plans to move Desirae and her children to Utah to be close to Nate’s family, daughters, and their support system during this incredibly difficult time. However, this transition comes with significant emotional and financial challenges. Nate did not have life insurance, and Desirae is now relying on emergency savings to cover urgent expenses, including:

    •    Funeral and cremation costs

    •    Transportation and memorial arrangements

    •    Daycare for Arya

    •    Therapy for Joel not covered by insurance

    •    Moving expenses not covered by the Air Force

Nate and Desirae had recently purchased a home just two months ago, a dream they shared together, that now must be sold unexpectedly, with no anticipated profit.

Those who know Desirae know her as a resilient and selfless person who doesn’t ask for help and always finds a way to make things work, no matter how hard the struggle. But now, she needs her community more than ever.
