My name is Charlese Antoinette and I am an international costume designer. I started a fashion design program in 2019 for children in under-resourced communities. The program was successful and ran for 3 years in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club. During that time we were able to bring the kids to NYC for the first time to visit factories and fabric mills. We also had several industry professionals speak to the kids via zoom to inspire them and show them their future in design.
We recently established a new partnership and are relaunching the program in Cleveland. We are also looking for opportunities to expand to more cities (LA & BMORE). This GoFundMe is to cover immediate material and administrative costs for the program. Sample costs: shipping, instructor fees and travel, miscellaneous supplies, and food.
