Support Deshaya Hart's Family After Devastating Fire
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Deshaya Hart, and I’m the second oldest of eight kids. Yesterday, our family’s home burned down, and we lost everything. It still doesn’t feel real—one moment, we were living our normal lives, and the next, we were watching everything we own disappear in the flames.
I’m beyond grateful that my parents and all my siblings made it out safely, but now we’re left with nothing. My youngest siblings, who are just three and under, don’t understand why we’re not at home anymore, and it’s heartbreaking to see them confused and scared.
We’re doing our best to stay strong, but this has been incredibly hard. Right now, we need help replacing basic necessities like clothes, food, and essentials for my younger siblings. While insurance will cover some things, it won’t cover everything, and rebuilding our lives will take time.
One of the biggest challenges for me right now is school. I drive 45 minutes each way to get there, but with everything lost in the fire, I no longer have a way to get to school. I’m doing my best to stay on track, but without transportation, it’s becoming nearly impossible
A little about me—I’m a senior in high school, President of DECA, a Student Council member, captain of the basketball team, and a track runner. I have a 3.5 GPA and plans to attend college. Through everything, I’m staying focused on my future, but my family’s immediate needs are overwhelming.
That’s why I’m asking for help—any amount you can give, or even just sharing this post, would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can offer. My family and I appreciate it more than words can say.
