Support Derrick Klingler's Stroke Recovery

Derrick Klingler was an otherwise healthy young man with a beautiful family and rewarding career until one morning his family discovered that he had suffered a massive stroke. This event drastically and unexpectedly changed the course of their lives in one frightening moment. The stroke required him to be life-flighted to a hospital with highly specialized neurology and interventional radiology. Derrick had a very risky procedure to not only save his life but also give him the best quality of life possible after this harrowing event. Derrick fought hard for his life in the following days, defying all odds and surprising his doctors. He was able to progress enough to move into a hospital-based acute rehabilitation unit in which he continued to progress and push through many of his limitations. The effort was immense, but he persevered and was able to make it back home in only 15 days!

Derrick is now continuing his rehab at home and fighting to get the rest of his quality of life back. This event, however, has placed considerable stress on his family! Medical bills have started rolling in, and Derrick is not sure how long he will have to be on disability. To make things even more stressful, Derrick still has 2 to 3 surgeries ahead of him and a long road to recovery.

Derrick has always been the rock of his family, one of the favorites at work, and the guy that would make you laugh instead of cry. His family couldn't ask for a better man who always puts everyone else first. But now it's time for him to be cared for.
