Hi, my name is Derrick Driver. I’m 45 years old, originally from Orofino, Idaho, and I’m currently living in Spokane, Washington, where I’ve been fighting Stage 3 Leukemia with everything I’ve got.
Since being diagnosed, I’ve gone through 16 blood transfusions and am in my 5th round of chemotherapy. The next major step in my journey is a bone marrow transplant in Seattle. As soon as a bed becomes available, I’ll be heading there for treatment and recovery, which will require me to stay in the area for 3 to 4 months.
As you can imagine, this journey has taken a lot out of me physically, emotionally, and financially. I haven’t been able to work, and I’m running low on funds. The Seattle portion of my treatment alone is expected to cost around $8,000, and that’s not including my regular bills and living expenses while I’m away.
I’m reaching out for support to help cover the costs of this life-saving treatment and allow me to focus on getting better.
A little about me: I’m an avid golfer, and I love to hunt and fish, anything that gets me outdoors. I was born and raised in Orofino, and while cancer has slowed me down, I’m not giving up. I’m ready to beat this and get back to living a full, healthy life.
Any help, whether it's a donation or just sharing this page, means the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing by me during this fight.
