Support Derrick Curtis in His Cancer Battle

Hello everyone, I’m Derrick Davon Curtis.

In January 2023, I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in my left leg and a few spots on my body. This journey has been incredibly challenging, both emotionally and physically. I’m deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, calls, and texts from all of you.

I’m currently in my second year of chemotherapy, which I receive every 14 days. While I hope to finish treatments by March 2025, I’m still uncertain about the timeline. Many of you have kindly offered to help, and while I usually would decline, this situation is different and humbling for me. I truly appreciate your continued prayers, love, and well wishes.

At the moment, I’m facing financial difficulties due to my medical expenses. My insurance covers only 80%, leaving me with a $10,000 bill, of which $8,000 has already gone into collections. I’ve exhausted my savings covering medical bills, medications, parking (twice a week), and maintaining a healthy diet. With inflation, this has become an overwhelming financial burden.
