Hello, my name is D'Erika Gaines, and I am reaching out for your help to pursue an essential medical treatment. Creating a GoFundMe to Help Me Seek Healing in Thailand - CAP Therapy for TSW. (Topical steroid withdrawal, also known as red burning skin and steroid dermatitis, has been reported in people who apply topical steroids for 2 weeks or longer and then discontinue use. Symptoms affect the skin and include redness, oozing, burning sensation, and itchiness, which may then be followed by skin peeling.)

Story:

For as long as I can remember, I have been battling severe eczema, around the age of 2. However, now at the age of 28, the last three years have been particularly challenging, changing my life completely, filled with extreme daily pain, not being able to walk some days, losing my hair, bathe myself, and overall discomfort. I know I can speak for a lot of people with TSW as it depresses us that we cannot do the normal things as we also feel like burdens because of the lack of medical help and the lack of education.

Despite numerous attempts to find relief through various treatments, I’ve learned that many options available in the U.S. have not worked for me.

I recently discovered the potential of CAP therapy (Cold Atmospheric Plasma) treatment available in Bangkok, Thailand for topical steroid withdrawal (TSW) and other skin conditions.

In Thailand, research has shown promise for individuals like me who suffer from severe skin conditions. CAP therapy focuses on improving skin health through a series of treatments, including advanced techniques that have yielded positive results for many patients. Research indicates that this therapy has high success rates, with many experiencing significant improvement in their symptoms and overall quality of life.

However, pursuing this treatment requires not only time but also financial resources. I am seeking to raise $25,000 to cover travel and medical expenses for one year of therapy in Thailand. This journey is not just about my individual struggle; it reflects a broader issue. Thousands of people in the United States remain misdiagnosed and untreated, facing daily challenges with conditions like eczema and are put on these steroids, which got us here in the first place.
