Little Derek was born with a heart defect. The official diagnosis is TAPVR. There are 4 different types of TAPVR. I, unfortunately, do not know which type he has, but all 4 types require open-heart surgery. Christian and Esperanza are amazing first-time parents and will need some financial support with all these medical bills. All of us hate to ask for donations, but every penny will go towards the medical bills and any aftercare needs little Derek will need.
