Hi, I’m Celise Rogers. My brother, Derek, unexpectedly died of a heart attack on Monday, the 14th. He was only 42 years old. He was married and has two children, aged 14 and 12.

Derek loved playing video games and was a respected employee of Home Depot. He was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease at age 18. He recently had both his kidneys removed and had been waiting for a kidney transplant since 2021. He had had several hospital stays recently due to his disease and had been on dialysis for 5 years. All of this to say, his family has been spending a lot of money on his medical needs.
