Support Derek's family -Sophie, Zoe, & Skylar

Derek Fadelle, age 42, life-long resident of St. Marys, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, June 2nd in St. Marys.  Derek is survived by his wife Sophie, daughters Zoé and Skylar.

Derek was an Aviation and Flight Technology graduate of Seneca College 1998, who left a promising flying career after he met the love of his life, Sophie Lahaie. To say he was a devoted husband, father and family man would be a gross understatement. An exceptionally talented and hard worker, he excelled at whatever he set out to do, whether it involved flying, farming, business, friends or family. Derek was admired, loved and respected by all who knew him for his honesty, integrity, loyalty, work and business ethic and sincere friendship. Derek was a creative mind who loved to tinker. He was relentlessly curious, always needing to know how things worked. He enjoyed walking, cycling, swimming, watching The Jays, vacationing and camping but most of all, his girls!  A natural leader, he was the catalyst for so many gatherings of friends and family. The campfire philosopher will be sorely missed.
