My name is Derek Vowels, and I'm a current Junior at East View High School. I am a hard-working student taking all AP classes, on the JV Tennis team, part of the FFA, a volunteer at the Williamson County Animal Shelter, and I am taking Culinary Arts. This Spring of 2026, we have been invited to the Cook Around the World at Disney's Pop Century Resort in Orlando, Florida. There, we will get to learn from a Top Celebrity Chef and some of the World's Best Chefs and Culinary Instructors. We will also visit with representatives from the top Hospitality and Restaurant Management Colleges. Times are tight, and I would love to experience this opportunity and grow my craft.
