My husband & I are setting up a GoFundMe on behalf of the Gruber Family. Nate & Derek have been friends since Kindergarten at Meadowlane & we wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone.

On September 2nd, Derek left work due to feeling off & unwell. Hours later, Derek was in emergency open-heart surgery & had undergone triple bypass surgery. To know Derek is to love him. He’s THE guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He’s a devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend & employee.

With all of this being so unexpected, we are looking to help support the family in their time of need. Derek remains in the ICU but has responded well to all treatments. He will be out of work for several weeks & will plan to be in cardiac rehab for at least the next 6 months. Anything donated will go towards the inevitable upcoming medical bills & living expenses.
