Support Deputy Pierre Gray's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
Dear SFDSA Members and the Public,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the story of Deputy Pierre Gray, who has been serving the people of San Francisco as a Deputy Sheriff since 1999. On May 25th, 2024, Deputy Gray suffered a severe stroke, leaving him paralyzed on the right side of his body. This came just a month after he underwent the amputation of all five toes on his right foot. Now, he faces the physical and emotional toll of being confined to a wheelchair while working towards recovery.
To make matters worse, Deputy Gray's wife lost her job in January of this year, and his benefits have since lapsed, leaving their family in a difficult financial situation. The costs of medical care, including a wheelchair, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy, have quickly mounted.
We are reaching out to our members and the broader community to ask for your support during this challenging time. Deputy Gray has dedicated his life to public service, and now he needs our help. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in his journey to recovery.
On behalf of the SFDSA, I want to express our deep gratitude for any support you can provide to Deputy Gray and his family. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ken Lomba
