Hello, I'm reaching out to the community in support of Deputy Ethan Crosby. Ethan is 22 years old and has been with the sheriff's office for approximately one year. He was recently engaged and was excited about his future. Unfortunately, he just went through a substantial, life-changing event while serving our community.

On October 6, 2026, Deputy Ethan Crosby was dispatched to Scotch Lane in Aiken, SC, to locate a pickup truck that was involved in a hit and run at a convenience store earlier that day. After responding to the area, Deputy Crosby located the subject and initiated a short pursuit. The pursuit ended with Deputy Crosby getting shot in both legs while trying to approach the vehicle. The subject then backed up over him while he was on the ground, breaking both of his legs.

Other deputies fired into the subject vehicle, and she passed from her injuries. Deputy Ethan Crosby was transported to the hospital and has undergone several surgeries. He has a long road ahead of him. Both of his femurs are broken from the pickup truck running him over, and he still has bullets lodged in his legs. He is currently still undergoing rehab in a facility for treatment of his injuries.

It's been on my heart to start this GoFundMe because I'm afraid of the unknowns for him. If the worst outcome becomes a reality for him, I want him to know our community stands behind him. I'm afraid that if we don't start a financial fund for him now, he could be lost in the mix. The sheriff's office will take care of his medical bills, but the government doesn't really have a life plan for him if he becomes disabled. If he gets put on Social Security with only a few years of work history, it will be difficult for him to raise a family and take care of his future wife.

It's my hope and prayer that Deputy Ethan Crosby makes a full recovery, but as of now, he has a long road ahead of him. I'm praying that we can help relieve some of his financial stress and help him focus on healing. Hopefully, this GoFundMe can create some freedom for Ethan to figure out what his next step is. After hearing the radio transmissions, it was really apparent to me that this deputy has been through so much. I want him to focus on his mental health and physical recovery and not have to worry so much about what his future will look like. Please help me rally around him in prayer and financial support.

I've attached the link to the radio transmissions. Please use caution when listening; it's very emotional. Radio transmission
