Support Deputy Douglas Handa in His Fight Against Cancer

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of Deputy Douglas Handa, a dedicated and beloved member of our community who is currently facing one of the toughest battles of his life. Deputy Handa has been diagnosed with cancer and has bravely undergone surgery and is now enduring the rigorous and exhausting journey of chemotherapy.

Doug has dedicated his life to protecting and serving our community, always putting others before himself. As a devoted husband and father of four children, his primary focus has always been to provide for and protect his family. However, this illness has taken a significant toll not only on his health but also on his financial stability.

Unfortunately, Doug has exhausted all of his paid sick leave and is now on workers' compensation, which provides only a reduced salary. The financial strain is immense as medical bills, daily living expenses, and the costs associated with his treatment continue to mount. With zero sick leave left, the Handa family is struggling to make ends meet during this incredibly challenging time.

Doug's wife and children have been his pillars of strength, supporting him every step of the way, but they too are feeling the emotional and financial burden. This is where we, as a community, can come together to support a man who has given so much to us.
