My name is Kimani Paul and I am Denzell Sullivan's girlfriend. I'm here to help his family raise the funds for his medical and attorney fees and everything that can help towards him and his story.

His Story - Speaking on behalf of Kimani Paul, his girlfriend, & family and friends ❤️

Monday, April 21st, my 17-year-old boyfriend, Denzell Sullivan, was picked up by Fort Pierce police and brought to Fort Pierce Lawnwood Hospital emergency room. He was brought in due to a mental health crisis. My boyfriend wasn't going crazy; he was the most full-of-life boy. He was overly stressed and wanted help because of how much stress he was under. But instead of hearing him and listening to him, they took him and put him in Coral Shores Mental Hospital, owned by UHS (Universal Health Services) in Martin County, Florida, on Tuesday, April 22nd, where they tortured and beat my boyfriend to near death, causing him to be brain dead. He was in there for 3-4 days, which was past his 72-hour Baker Act. I called at least 10 times a day. Every time I called, they would have a different excuse, saying things like "he's sleeping, you can't talk to him," "we will have him call you," "he's in a meeting, call back at this time," which I did every time, and they still refused to allow me to speak to him even after his mother gave full permission and gave me his patient ID number. They made comments stating "he's too much to handle," but that doesn't make it right for what they did! They have all of the right resources to go about situations like his. Him being "too much" doesn't give them the right to take a 17-year-old child's life. On April 25th, I got a call that he was being rushed to Cleveland Clinic Martin Health South Emergency room due to a "fall in the shower." That wouldn't have caused him to be put into cardiac arrest and have blood and air in his lungs. That absolutely cannot happen due to a fall! Why was a child left unattended in the bathroom for so long that this could possibly happen? What's in that bathroom that could have hurt him this bad and put all that on his body? I have a lot of questions that aren't being answered. I've called and called, and they are trying to cover this up! They put us on hold and hang up after trying to ask questions. He has lacerations to the whole body, and when they found him, they said he was unconscious on the bathroom floor. Coral Shores chose to call the police instead of an ambulance. They won't answer any questions on how long they tried CPR on him. They won't say who was last seen with him; they aren't talking at all, and that's not fair to Denzell because he deserves JUSTICE. All he wanted was help, and now he's in St. Mary's Children's Hospital fighting for his life in the PICU on his deathbed. He looks as if he was beaten and burned; he has bruises all over his body, scabs, gashes, a busted lip, and more. They WON'T get away with this. This couldn't be the first, and I'm going to make sure this is their last child they hurt. My boyfriend was a good boy, and he didn't deserve this. He was so sweet and full of life; he's been through HELL AND BACK but was still so strong. Denzell cared for everybody around him; he kept everyone happy and made everyone feel loved. They didn't try to help or figure out what was wrong. They failed him, and we can't let them get away with this. It's not right and not okay that he went in perfectly healthy and came out brain dead!! We WILL get justice and fight for him. We won't let them live peacefully while my boyfriend is dying. He can't tell us what happened, and his voice has been stolen from him, so we have to get to the bottom of this and be his VOICE!
