Hi everyone! My name is De’Nya, and I’m a mechanical engineering student at Prairie View A&M University. In Fall 2026, I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Ghana for 15 weeks through the CIEE Engineering, Technology + Sciences program at the University of Ghana.

This opportunity means a lot to me. As someone studying engineering and hoping to work in aviation and aerospace one day, being able to experience STEM education in another part of the world will expand how I think about technology, innovation, and problem-solving. It’s also a chance for me to connect with a different culture and learn in an environment completely outside of what I’m used to.

While this is an incredible opportunity, studying abroad comes with a lot of expenses like program fees, flights, housing, and daily living costs. I’m actively applying for scholarships and doing everything I can to contribute financially, but I’m also reaching out for support from my community.
