Support Dental Care for Community Cats Today
Tax deductible
Hello Friends!
I am fundraising for Operation Catnip in hopes of making their dreams and our community cats' dreams come true. They are in DESPERATE need of a dental X-ray machine and I would LOVE to be able to help them. I am hoping to raise $3,000 to offset some of the donation I will be giving in honor of my wife, Barbara Jean Raskin, who so enjoyed watching me feed my 10-plus community cats every morning. Barbara Jean passed away earlier this year, and focusing on helping our community is helping me through the grief.
Won't you please support this wonderful organization? Below is a note from the Director of Operation Catnip Gainesville. PLEASE spread this message to all your kitty-loving friends! Thank you so much!
"One of the conditions that threatens the quality of life of community cats is the need for dental care. Almost all other issues – broken legs, degloved tails, bite wounds, ruptured eyes – can be addressed by our medical team at Operation Catnip. However, without quality dental X-rays, which give us the ability to perform needed extractions to alleviate constant pain from impacted or infected teeth, cats must leave our care without us solving the issue that is causing them pain. We refer to private practice veterinarians for the service, but dental services are extremely expensive, and few caregivers can afford it. The cats are relinquished to a shortened life, possibly some pain management, and a greatly diminished quality of life. A dental X-ray system would allow Operation Catnip to finally address these issues for community cats."
