Support Denny Antel's Fight Against Cancer

Hello friends. My name is Lisa. I am starting a Go Fund Me for my great friend, Denny Antel. As most of you know, Denny is the owner and pit master of Pork N Things BBQ here in Amarillo. Making great food and serving the panhandle community has been the dream he turned into reality.

Over the last couple of months, Denny started feeling “not himself” and more exhausted than normal. He noticed that an unusual spot had appeared in his lower mouth. Denny quickly sought treatment and received the devastating news that the growth is Squamous Cell Carcinoma. He will be traveling to MD Anderson, in Houston, the beginning of December. Denny is scheduled to be there for a week, but likely it will be a longer stay or several return stays involving a major reconstructive surgery on his jaw and mouth.

Denny is one of the strongest people I know and Pork N Things is his life and love. The very last thing he wants to do is ask for help. He has a wonderful small staff that will be holding down the fort while he is away, but he needs the support of the community to keep the doors open.

I am asking for your support, to help this incredible human. The travel expenses, hotel stays, time away from the restaurant is going to be a huge strain on him financially.
