My name is Dennis, and I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging times of my life. I have been diagnosed with cancer, and while I’m receiving treatment at a cancer center, I was recently laid off from my job. Without medical insurance, I’ve accumulated thousands of dollars in debt, and the weight of these bills is overwhelming. The uncertainty of my health and financial situation has left me feeling fearful, but I’m holding onto hope that support from my community can help me through this difficult period.
The funds I raise here will go directly toward paying off my medical debt, covering my rent, putting food on the table, and keeping up with my car insurance payments. These essentials are critical for me to maintain stability until my unemployment benefits begin at the end of March. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in my ability to focus on healing and recovery without the constant stress of financial insecurity.
I have battled addiction my whole life and am proud to say I have 11 years sober. I’ve worked hard to build a good life for myself, always living within my means and giving back to my community. I’m actively involved in organizations that support addicts, alcoholics, and people reintegrating into society after prison. Now, I find myself in a position where I desperately need help and pray that it comes soon. I am deeply grateful for any support you can offer, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my journey.
