Shortly after my Dad's (Dennis McDonnell) 62nd birthday he was admitted to the hospital. He had to have surgery to remove a diseased portion of his colon and spent over 7 weeks at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.

He is finally in a nursing/rehab facility where he is regaining his strength, but this journey is far from over. He is expected to be at Santa Cruz Post Acute for the next several weeks and will ulitmately need another surgery before he is back to normal.

Hospital bills have already started rolling in and it is shockingly disgusting how little his insurance covers.

Thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers. Anything helps to get Dad through this ordeal and back to every day life.
