My name is Dennis, and I am reaching out for help during the most difficult time of my life. I have been diagnosed with polycythemia vera, a rare form of blood cancer, and the treatments I need are far beyond what I can afford. Without insurance and already overwhelmed by debt, my medical bills, rent, and daily expenses are piling up. The stress is more than I can bear, and I am doing my best to stay strong.

For most of my life, I have battled addiction and alcoholism, but I am proud to say I have been sober for over 11 years. My journey has not been easy—since childhood, I have faced trauma and hardship. Despite this, I have always tried to give back to my community. I volunteer, speak publicly about recovery, and do what I can to feed and support the poor and homeless. I often go without so I can help others, but now I find myself in need of help.
