On the evening of June 14, 2025, as the flash flood swept through the small towns along Route 40 and wreaked havoc and devastation, Dennis Cook Jr. lost everything to not just the floodwaters but also to an explosion that set his home on fire as he was trying to get out. His home and truck are completely burnt, and the devastation also claimed his beloved cat, Penny. Though we are all very thankful that our children were with me at my home while he experienced the most traumatic event in his life, he still has a long road to having a place for him and his children to call home again! Dennis is father to 2 of my children, and also a friend. I will be accepting funds and handing them

to him.
