On Thursday August 4th, Dennis went to the cath lab to have an echocardiogram done to determine the cause of his continued heart problems following his March bypass surgery. During this procedure, Dennis went into cardiac arrest. The doctors were able to stabilize him and he has been supported by assistive devices ever since.

On Monday August 8th, Dennis was transferred by a critical care transport ambulance 5.5 hours away to UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL where he remains stable under the close care of a team of specialists dedicated to his recovery. Throughout, Madelyn has not left his side and will soon be temporarily relocating to a condo nearby with Dennis’ mom, Sayo. We are hopeful and confident Dennis will make a full recovery but he has a long road ahead of him. Any contributions will go directly to assist them with their temporary home in Gainesville.
