My name is Jason, and I’m writing to you today on behalf of the love of my life, Denise, or as many of you know her, Dee. If you know Denise, you know her heart is pure gold. She’s the first to offer a helping hand, the one who shows up without being asked, and the person who always puts everyone else before herself. She’s a devoted mom, a loyal friend, and the strongest woman I’ve ever known.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for her, to surround her with the same love, strength, and generosity.

The Diagnosis

In mid-August, our world came to a sudden stop when Denise was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. Those words felt unreal, like the air had been taken from the room. What started as what seemed like minor abdominal pains and spotting quickly became something far more serious, something we never could have imagined facing. Hearing that diagnosis was devastating for all of us. Denise has always been the strong one, the one holding everything together, keeping our family grounded with her love and her laughter. Seeing her have to face something so frightening has been heartbreaking. Yet even in the middle of all this, she’s met every appointment, every test, and every difficult day with courage and grace that continues to inspire everyone around her.

The Treatment Plan

Denise's medical team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Treatment Center has recommended an aggressive treatment plan that includes chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing care she is receiving, and we are hopeful that this treatment will lead to remission. WE'RE GOING TO RING THAT BELL!

The road ahead is long. The treatment will require several months of intensive sessions, and it comes with significant physical and emotional tolls, including extreme fatigue, nausea, and inability to complete daily tasks.

Why We Need Your Help

While we have health insurance, it does not cover the full cost of this lifesaving treatment. The financial burden of cancer is overwhelming, with mounting costs for:

• Medical Bills: Co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-network specialist consultations.

• Prescription Medications: Costs for chemotherapy drugs and other necessary medications.

• Lost Income: I have had to reduce my hours to be her full-time caregiver.

• Travel Expenses: Costs for gas, parking, and tolls.

We have set a goal of $10,000 to help cover these costs and allow Denise to focus on what truly matters: healing.
