Support Denese's Fight Against Lung Cancer

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my stepmom, who is currently facing a difficult fight with lung cancer. She was diagnosed recently with small cell carcinoma and unfortunately the cancer has already started to spread.

Right now, the goal of her medical team is to isolate the cancer to her right lung so they can move forward with surgery. She’ll be starting chemo treatment this Friday, and they’re planning three rounds — followed by a PET scan to determine the next steps. But we’re holding onto hope that surgery will still be an option.

This came after months of pushing for answers. She and my dad had advocated for a biopsy much earlier, but it wasn’t done until the cancer had already progressed. On top of everything else, she recently had an unexpected gallbladder surgery, and those bills are still looming.

Right now, they’re doing everything they can to keep up with household expenses and the growing medical costs- but reaching the edge of what can be managed. They need help, and I’m hoping that together, we can ease at least some of the burden so they can focus on healing instead of bills.
