My name is Deneia Canty. I am a senior Kinesiology student at North Carolina Central University with plans to graduate in the fall. I cannot do that unless I pay for my summer classes, which are making it possible for me to graduate in the fall. I have maxed out my aid for this school year, so the remaining cost needs to come out of pocket. I come from a single-income household, and I would be the first college graduate in my immediate family. These funds will be used to pay the remainder of my tuition for the summer. While at NCCU, I have accumulated over 1,600 community service hours while maintaining an A/B average. I serve as a student athletic training aide for NCCU Athletics, primarily working with our football team. After graduating, I plan to attend a MSAT program to become an Athletic Trainer and hopefully one day work with professional sports teams.
