It is with a very heavy heart that I reach out to you today to ask for support for our dear friend, Dena Rivera. Not many of you know, Dena has spent the last eight months battling stage four Cancer and has survived four rough rounds of chemo therapy.

 

Dena has been working with a great group of oncologist at Emory Hospital. Yet the cancer is aggressive and things are beginning to tighten. The doctors are coming up with another mixture of chemo to see if it helps. While Dena remains hopeful and is trusting in God, finances have become a burden. Everyday living, medical bills, medical equipment, and now new treatment being needed she needs our help.  The doctors are suggesting alternative methods along with the chemo to help treat the cancer. Costing about $3000 out of pocket for only one round. Because of the nature of the treatment even with doctors’ suggestion, Obamacare (which is her primary insurance) does not cover it.

 

Dena is known for sharing love and bringing life, whether it is on a stage singing, filmmaking, photography, traveling around the world, mentoring, or being the best nana anyone could ask for. It’s our time to return the favor of life and love. Let's help her live as well and as comfortably as possible without the stress of paying rent and mounting medical bills.  This is an urgent situation--she needs financial help now--so we ask that you stretch where you can and donate today.
