On March 31st, I experienced a severe heart attack at just 33 years old. It happened out of the blue while I was playing basketball in a men's sports league. As I played, my chest suddenly felt like it was on fire, and the pain quickly spread into my left arm, leaving me weak and scared. By the time I reached the hospital, I had been having the attack for two hours. My ejection fraction was well below 25%, and I needed an immediate stent put in my heart. After a week in the hospital, I'm now on the mend and improving day by day, but the experience has changed my life in ways I never expected.

As I recover, I'm facing not only significant medical bills but also the challenge of keeping up with everyday expenses like rent and utilities. I have a dog who depends on me, and being unable to work for at least the next three months adds to the stress.
